1. Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC)

2. Standardisation Testing and Quality Certification (STQC) Directorate

3. Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering and Research (SAMEER)

  • Focus Areas: RF/microwave engineering, antenna design, EMI/EMC testing, medical electronics, atmospheric radar.


4. National Informatics Centre (NIC)

  • Focus Areas: e-Governance solutions, data centers, secure government cloud (MeghRaj), government websites & portals.


5. Education and Research Network (ERNET) India

  • Location: New Delhi

  • Focus Areas: Education and research connectivity, academic network infrastructure.


6. Media Lab Asia (MLAsia)

  • Location: New Delhi

  • Focus Areas: ICT solutions for healthcare, education, livelihood, and financial inclusion in rural India.


7. National e-Governance Division (NeGD)

  • Location: New Delhi

  • Focus Areas: Implements e-Governance projects like UMANG, DigiLocker, eDistrict, and manages Digital India initiatives.


8. Digital Locker (DigiLocker) – operated by NeGD

  • Secure cloud-based platform for storing government-issued documents.


9. National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT)

  • Location: HQ in Delhi; centers across India (e.g., Chennai, Calicut, Aurangabad, Gangtok)

  • Focus Areas: Formal education and training in electronics, IT, cyber law, AI, IoT, VLSI, embedded systems, etc.

1. Software Technology Parks of India (STPI)

  • Purpose: Promotes software exports, innovation, incubation, and startups. Provides high-speed data connectivity and infrastructure.


2. Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC)

  • Location: New Delhi

  • Role: Promotes export of electronics and IT products and services.


🛡️ Cyber Security Institutions under MeitY

1. Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In)

  • Location: New Delhi

  • Role: National agency for responding to cybersecurity incidents.


2. Cyber Swachhta Kendra (Botnet Cleaning and Malware Analysis Centre)

  • Helps users secure their systems and devices.


3. National Cyber Coordination Centre (NCCC)

  • Location: New Delhi

  • Coordinates with security agencies to assess cybersecurity threats in real time.
